ForeTees' Newest Features
I am sure most of you have heard about many of our new features for 2009.  There are so many great ones that should make your lives easier and improve the service that you provide to your members.  One of the most talked about items is the Demo Club Tracking Feature.  I am sure it is being used each and everyday in all of your golf shops.  Hopefully, in the long run it does make your life easier and saves a few hundred dollars (or maybe even thousands) on your bottom line.

The new Dining Request Feature is an optional item, which allows members to submit dining requests in ForeTees that will notify the F & B staff of their intention to dine at the club.  A custom message area will allow the club to better promote dining and drink specials, as well as drive additional F & B revenue to the club operation.

You can find all of the new features at the top of the ForeTees homepage under the 'New Features' tab.   This page will give you a brief description about the advantages and how to use all of these features.

GHIN Interface Receiving Rave Reviews
A new feature in 2008, the GHIN Interface has been very popular among our clients who use the GHIN handicap system at their clubs.  This interface has allowed for additional score posting capabilities along with valuable reporting.  It has helped the clubs track members who are not posting their scores simply by running a report, which is at the touch of your fingertips.  It's just that easy and effective.

Top 100 Clubs
In the recent release of the Top 100 Clubs in America by Golf Digest, we are proud to say that 26 of these Top 100 Clubs are using ForeTees.  In fact, considering that 11 of the facilities in the Top 100 are public, we are actually at 26 of 89 private clubs - almost 30%.  We are pleased that our system is working so well at these clubs and at more than 300 other outstanding private clubs throughout the United States and Canada.   Thanks to all of you for your confidence and support.

TPC Private Facilities
We want to welcome eleven of the TPC (Tournament Players Club) private facilities to the ForeTees family.   These clubs include TPC Craig Ranch, TPC Potomac, TPC Jasna Polana, TPC River's Bend, TPC Summerlin, TPC Sugarloaf Golf Course, TPC River Highlands, TPC Boston Great Woods, TPC Wakefield Plantation, TPC Southwind and TPC Twin Cities.  Thank you to the TPC network for their support of our product.

ForeTees Biography
We would like you to meet our Director of Technology at ForeTees, Paul Sindelar.  Below is a brief explanation on how Paul arrived at our company:

Following in his father's footsteps, Paul starting programming at an early age.  Having had a computer in front of him since the third grade, Paul was first introduced to programming when he started manually entering code found inside magazines into the family's computer.  Since then his fascination with all things technical has only grown.

"It got so bad in junior high that when I was at school and away from my computer, I would sit in the back of the class and write code in my notebook, the old fashion spiral bound paper kind, then when I would get home I'd enter it into my computer.  Unfortunately for me at the time, it wasn't yet cool to be a geek."

In his professional life, Paul has owned and operated two small businesses doing just about everything from performing warranty work on computers and servers, helping companies install and upgrade their networks, worked in data centers and has written dozens of desktop and web applications using a variety of programming languages.

Paul's first exposure to golf was working at ScoreCast, Inc., a tournament planning software company.   He was involved with product installation and support and had the pleasure of traveling across the nation to many exclusive golf courses.

These days, Paul has a wonderful family and is the proud father of two young boys, ages two and four.   When he's not spending time with his wife and children he enjoys traveling, trying to play golf, studying the financial markets and eating sushi.

Paul has been involved with ForeTeees since it was being developed in 2001.  At first he hosted the ForeTees application at his facility and provided some technical assistance and consultation to Bob Parise, company president.  Then in early 2006, Paul was hired on full time as the Director of Technology and now oversees the development of ForeTees as well as the servers and infrastructure that make us what we are today, the leader in private online tee times.

A Tip from the Staff at ForeTees
If for some reason you need to exit the ForeTees website with the intention of signing right back in, be sure to use the 'Logout' tab.  Otherwise, you may have ForeTees open in two separate windows (sessions), which can degrade the performance.  In fact, it is a highly recommended to always logout of ForeTees, even at the end of the day, as opposed to just shutting down your computer or closing the browser.

Thanks for taking the time to read our new 'On the Tee with ForeTees' newsletter. Until next time we'll -

See you "Down the Middle"!
