August 2011 On the Tee with ForeTees As summer marches on, a lot is happening at ForeTees! We are excited to update you on our busy summer at our St. Paul offices. As we continue to improve our tee time product, we are also busy adding new reservation products and features that allow us to continue to lead the private club industry in online reservation systems. Plus, we have added a new employee to our team. His information is below. Thanks for taking the time to read this edition of our newsletter. Roger Lindquist Joins the ForeTees Team ForeTees is proud to announce the hiring of Roger Lindquist as Director of Sales – Web Services. Roger joins ForeTees with over 25 years of club experience as a PGA professional, a sales representative for Izod/LaCoste Golf & Tennis, and most recently a 10-year career with Clubessential. “Roger will be a tremendous asset to our company as we continue to expand our products and services to the private club industry,” ForeTees President Bob Parise announced.
“I’ve always respected ForeTees over the years – not only for the formidable success they have experienced with their technology, but also for the level of integrity they have established with their clients and the club industry in general,” added Roger. "I’m extremely excited about joining the ForeTees’ team and look forward to reconnecting with many of my club industry colleagues very soon.”
Roger will be involved in the selling of the new ForeTees dining reservation system, as well as the flxRez product used in tennis reservations and other activities around the club. Roger will also begin formalizing a plan for a ForeTees website product. We welcome him to our team and look forward to a long term relationship with him.

ForeTees Makes Important POS System Improvements ForeTees has made some significant improvements to its tee time software by allowing clubs to send charges from old tee sheets. Additionally, it now allows Jonas POS Interface users to combine all charges going to the same account number within the same reservation onto one chit. These are changes that several clubs have asked for in the past and our developers have found ways to make them possible. As always, these improvements come at no extra charge!
The following POS systems are the ones that will allow past charges to be sent from old tee sheets; Abacus21, ClubSoft, CSG, IBS, Jonas, Northstar, and TAI.
The ability to combine multiple member charges to the same account number within the same reservation onto one chit (versus one chit per charge), is now possible through the Jonas POS System. Those clubs using the Jonas interface with ForeTees tee times, will need to contact pro support in order for this change to be activated.
We hope many of our clubs can take advantage of these updates and will find them time saving and more convenient for the staff.
Lottery Enhancement
Those of you that use the lottery feature in the golf system now have the ability to use X's (TBD) when creating lottery requests. This allows the staff and the members to submit a request without knowing all the players. The players can be added at a later time by simply replacing the X's. The lottery configuration now includes an option for this feature. To utilize this feature simply edit the lottery configuration and enable the option. ForeTees Dining - Update!!!
The new ForeTees Dining Software is now in its final testing stages. We hope to release it in the very near future. We are confident your members and staff will like what they see because it has been designed with the same format as our tee time product. We know that your members will enjoy the same convenience with our dining system that they enjoy with tee times - 24/7 access, easy event registration, instant dining reservations, and more. The staff will welcome the reduction in phone calls, extensive reporting, more details on member dining preferences, etc. You can also trust ForeTees to give your members a very user-friendly product that will be used because of your members' trust in our product. Industry-Leading Caddie Software is Here! Our expert developers at ForeTees have put the finishing touches on our new caddie software product. This product will be included at no extra charge to our golf clients.
Now, your caddie master (or golf staff) will be able to stay in close touch with every caddie working at your facility. This user-friendly product will enable the caddie master to assign caddies (often a day or two in advance) and then notify the loopers via text or email. As a result, caddies can stay in touch with the club 24/7. No longer will the caddies have to arrive at the crack of dawn and sit around for several hours waiting for their loop. Plus, the caddie master will know up to two weeks in advance which days each and every caddie is available. We are confident that this new software will not only make existing caddie programs stronger, but may encourage some clubs to start up a caddie program in the future. We will supply you with the necessary information to access this new ForeTees program in the very near future.
ForeTees and MyClub Create Partnership ForeTees is proud to announce a partnership with MyClub, a company that has become a strong force in the new SmartPhone revolution by creating an application for country clubs. This new application will enable your members to stay up-to-date and up-to-the-minute with what is going on at your club with what amounts to a "website on the go" application. We have seen the popularity of the smartphone usage with our ForeTees product and feel strongly that the same thing will happen when clubs begin using MyClub. It's a 24/7 link to your members wherever they might be. The MyClub app will help drive member revenue, increase club utilization, and fill up events. It will also allow members to communicate with each other through the User Forum creating a private "Facebook" for MyClub users at their club. Another feature of this outstanding product is the Wine App, enabling members to use iPads to access the club's wine list in the dining room, or even when they are away from the club. Want more? How about video messaging? Now, the GM, golf professional, chef, or golf course superintendent can send the members video updates on club activities via their smart phones. Jock's Tip of the Month One of our newest features that is very popular with many of our clients is the ability to change the mode of transportation without having to open the tee time. By simply clicking on the mode of transportation on the tee sheet, you can change a player from walk to ride, caddie to push cart, etc. This feature also works for changing an 18 hole round to a 9 hole round by simply clicking on the same box. We hope you enjoy this time-saving feature.
